Steven Herrick is the author of twenty-three books for children and young adults. He is widely regarded as a pioneer of the verse-novel genre. His books have been shortlisted for the Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year awards on eight occasions and he has twice won the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards. He also writes travel books and loves cycling (the transport used around the world), football (the game played around the world), and food (the stuff eaten around the world!). Steven’s books include Pookie Aleera is Not My Boyfriend, Love Poems and Leg Spinners, and Another Night in Mullet Town. Steven’s first novel in verse, Love, Ghosts & Nose Hair, and its sequel A Place Like This, celebrate a special reissue from the University of Queensland Press this year.
