Rhianna Patrick, Chair
During her 16 years at the ABC, Rhianna has worked across triple j news, television documentaries, RN, co-hosted an aviation podcast and currently has a national Sunday night show named after her (#ABCRhi) on ABC Radio. In 2016 Rhianna started a monthly segment on her programme devoted to supporting the #LoveOzYA movement and Australian YA authors. Rhianna is currently the Queensland Rep on the #LoveOzYA committee and is slightly obsessed with the Lady Helen series and The Medoran Chronicles.
Pauline McLeod
Pauline is the Children’s and YA Specialist at Riverbend Books, Bulimba. A Teacher-Librarian and former English teacher, for over a decade Pauline was a coordinator of UQ Library’s school outreach program UQL Cyberschool. She has an MA in Children’s Literature and Graduate Diplomas in Teacher-Librarianship and Secondary Education. She has a special interest in YA fiction and is passionate about promoting and encouraging Australian stories. In 2015 Pauline was awarded the ABA Elizabeth Riley Fellowship for Children’s Bookselling.
Jeann Wong
Jeann is a Brisbane-based YA book blogger and booktuber who runs Happy Induglence Books, She’s a monthly co-host of the OZYAY ABC Radio segment and a guest blogger for Brisbane Libraries. When she’s not reading, blogging or fangirling over her latest read, she can be found working as a digital content producer, eating lots of food, or playing with her golden retriever Toby.
Trish Buckley
Trish started her career as an English teacher, and now works with young people in school libraries. She is the current President of the Children’s Book Council of Australia (Queensland Branch), a Features Editor at the Children’s Book Council of Australia, and reviews children’s and young adult fiction. She is passionate about literature and working with young people.
