She has won the Children’s Book Council Award twice, the US Printz Award, has been longlisted for the Miles Franklin Award, shortlisted for the inaugral 2015 Sara Douglass Book Series Award and won a series of awards for the screenplay adaptation of her novel Looking for Alibrandi.
