Natasha Lester worked as a marketing executive for ten years, including stints at cosmetic company L’Oreal, managing the Maybelline brand, before returning to university to study creative writing. She completed a Master of Creative Arts as well as her first novel, What Is Left Over, After, which won the T.A.G. Hungerford Award for Fiction. Her second novel, If I Should Lose You, was published by Fremantle Press. The Age newspaper described Natasha as “a remarkable Australian talent”, and her work has appeared in The Review of Australian Fiction and Overland, and the anthologies Australian Love StoriesThe Kid on the Karaoke Stage and Purple Prose.

Luke Williams is an Australian journalist. He has previously worked as a reporter and broadcaster at ABC radio. In 2013 he was nominated for a Human Rights Media Award for a long-form investigative piece in The Global Mail, and in 2014 his article on ice addiction, Life as a Crystal Meth Addict, was a finalist in the Walkley Awards for Excellence in Journalism. His first book is The Ice Age: My Journey into Crystal Meth Addiction, and is published by Scribe.

Kirsty Eagar was raised on a farm near Rockhampton. After studying economics at the University of Queensland, she worked for central banks in Sydney and London before changing direction. Her Young Adult novels have won and been shortlisted for numerous literary awards and her latest, Summer Skin, is a modern romance set in the hook-up culture of campus life, described by Clementine Ford as ‘the feminist love story girls have been waiting for’. She lives on Sydney’s northern beaches with her family.

Jeet Thayil is the 2016 Arts Queensland Poet in Residence. Born in Mamalasserie, Kerala, and educated in Bombay, Hong Kong and New York, he is the author of four poetry collections including English and These Errors Are Correct, which won the 2013 Sahitya Akademi Award for poetry. His novel Narcopolis won the 2012 DSC Prize for South Asian Literature, and was shortlisted for five other prizes, including the Man Booker prize, the Man Asian Literature Prize and the Commonwealth Prize.

Amie Kaufman is an internationally bestselling young adult author, whose multiple award-winning books have been published in 25 countries.
