Margaret Simons is an award-winning freelance journalist and the author of thirteen books and numerous articles and essays. She won the Walkley Award for Social Equity Journalism in 2015, and the Quill Award for best feature in 2016, both for her article Fallen Angels, published in The Monthly, on the children of Australian sex tourists in the Philippines. Margaret has co-written biographies with former Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser and mass media proprietor Kerry Stokes, both of which went on to win awards. Her most recent book, Six Square Metres, was launched in October 2015.
Award-winning artist Joshua Yeldham is the author of Surrender, which was conceived as a journal for his daughter. Working across painting, photography and sculpture, his art explores a spiritual connection with, and journey into, the Australian landscape. Surrender is his first book.
Sarah Kanowski is a presenter with Books and Arts on ABC RN. She has a Masters Degree in English from Oxford University, has edited Island magazine in Tasmania and also herded goats in Chile.
