Candice Fox’s first novel, Hades, won the Ned Kelly Award for best debut in 2014 from the Australian Crime Writers Association. She followed up with the award-winning sequel Eden, and in 2015, Fall. Candice’s latest work is Never Never, a gritty page-turner set in the Australian outback, which she has co-written with the world’s bestselling thriller author, James Patterson. Candice lectures in writing at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney, while undertaking a PhD in literary censorship and terrorism.

Lionel Shriver’s novels include Big Brother, the New York Times bestseller The Post-Birthday World, and the Orange Prize-winning international bestseller We Need to Talk About Kevin. Her latest novel is The Mandibles, published in June this year. Her journalism has appeared in the Guardian, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and many other publications. Lionel lives in London and Brooklyn.

Jeremy Gavron is the author of six books, including his new memoir A Woman on the Edge of Time, which tells the story of his mother’s suicide when he was four years old and his quest, four decades later, to discover who she was and why she killed herself. A former foreign correspondent in Africa and Asia, he now teaches fiction at Warren Wilson College in North Carolina. He is married with two daughters (and an Australian godson).

Ruth Clare did a degree in biochemistry/journalism before realising she wanted to be an actor. After years of bit parts and cruel rejection, Ruth found solace in the world of words. She has been a professional writer since 2004, writing for magazines, creating a range of educational materials as well as copy-writing for business clients. Her memoir, Enemy – a daughter’s story of how her father brought the Vietnam War home was published in March 2016 by Penguin Books. She is now working as a young adult novelist.

Neil Strauss is the author of the New York Times bestsellers The Game and Rules of the Game. He is also the co-author of three New York Times bestsellers: Jenna Jameson’s How to Make Love Like a Porn Star, Mötley Crüe’s The Dirt, and Marilyn Manson’s The Long Hard Road Out of Hell. Strauss’ highly anticipated The Truth: An Uncomfortable Book about Relationships came out in October 2015. A writer for Rolling Stone, Strauss lives in Los Angeles.
