Professor Anne Tiernan is a political scientist and the Director of the Policy Innovation Hub at Griffith University. Her research focuses on the work of governing, and she has written extensively on the political-administrative interface, caretaker conventions, governmental transitions and the work of policy advising. Anne is author and co-author of five books including The Gatekeepers: Lessons from Prime Ministers’ Chiefs of Staff, and co-editor of Fixing the System, a recent edition of Griffith Review.
Sam Crosby is executive director of the McKell Institute. He previously served as corporate and government affairs manager for Johnson & Johnson, senior advisor and chief of staff to a number of cabinet ministers in the NSW state government and advisor to former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.
