Midge Raymond

Midge Raymond

Midge Raymond is the author of the short story collection Forgetting English, which received the Spokane Prize for Short Fiction, and a novel, My Last Continent. Midge worked in publishing in New York before moving to Boston, where she taught communication writing at Boston University for six years. Her writing has appeared in various literary magazines, and she has also published two books for writers, Everyday Writing and Everyday Book Marketing. Midge lives in the Pacific Northwest, where she is co-founder of the boutique publisher Ashland Creek Press.

Kristina Schulz

Kristina Schulz

Kristina Schulz is the Children’s Publisher at the University of Queensland Press (UQP). UQP publishes a range of literary books, from literary fiction and non-fiction, to poetry, Indigenous writing and children’s books. Kristina has worked in various roles in publishing in Sydney, New York and London since 1999 and with authors such as Belinda Jeffrey, Nick Earls, Damon Young, Peter Carnavas, Rebecca Sparrow, Pat Flynn, Katherine Battersby and James Roy. She joined UQP in 2008.

Sophie Hamley

Sophie Hamley

Sophie Hamley has worked in the print and online publishing industries as a bookseller, editor, writer, content producer, web and interactive TV producer. She was a literary agent at Camerons Management from 2006 until 2014; she is a past President of the Australian Literary Agents’ Association and was also a member of the Book Industry Collaborative Council and the Visiting International Publishers committee within the Australia Council. She is now a non-fiction publisher at Hachette Australia, where is also coordinates the Hachette Mentoring Programme with several writers centres and organisations around Australia and in New Zealand.
