Briohny Doyle
Briohny Doyle is a Melbourne-based writer and academic. Her debut novel, The Island Will Sink, is the first book published by The Lifted Brow. Briohny’s work has also appeared in Overland, Going Down Swinging and Meanjin, and she has performed her work at the Sydney Festival and the Museum of Contemporary Art. Her first book of non-fiction,Adult Fantasy (Scribe, 2017), will explore the cultural underpinnings of adulthood. She loves dogs and all things apocalypse.
Sophie Overett
Sophie Overett is a cultural producer and writer from Brisbane, Australia. Her short fiction has been published in journals and anthologies across Australia and the world. In 2015 she is a Queensland Literary Fellow and her YA manuscript, Agatha Abel Meets Her Maker was shortlisted for the Text Prize. She’s a blogger for Pan MacMillan’s Momentum, the editor for Queensland Writers Centre’s online magazine, Writing Queensland and is one half of Lady Parts, a monthly podcast exploring women’s roles in genre cinema.
