Special Event

2016 The Island Will Sink by Briohny Doyle: Official Launch

Join The Lifted Brow and Briohny Doyle for the Brisbane launch of her novel  The Island Will Sink. Celebrated local author Ellen van Neerven will officially launch the book, and will also host a Q&A; with Briohny.

The drinks are on us, the book can be purchased on the night and it’s free to attend – but book in to reserve your spot before places run out.

The Island Will Sink reveals an eerily familiar future, one where EcoLaw is enforced by insidious cartoon panda bears and their armies of viral-marketing children. With this gripping postmodern novel in the vein of Michel Houellebecq and Phillip K. Dick, Briohny Doyle gives us a glimpse of a grave new world we all might soon face.
