The 2024 Festival program will be live and on sale from 7pm, March 21.
In 2024, Brisbane Writers Festival is spinning a rollicking tale of festive entertainment across four days and more than 100 events. The plot? Full of twists and turns. The characters? A diverse cast of writers, readers and thinkers coming together to enjoy a lively line-up of panel discussions, salons, special events and more.
Don’t forget to mark the festival dates in your calendar: 30 May – 2 June 2024.
Order a copy of the print program!
Get a copy of the program mailed straight to your door! Order yours before the 26th of April.
You have the option to order a copy of the full BWF print program for $4, or the Word Play brochure for $2 (or both!). The amount covers postage costs.
But don't worry, if you'd like to hunt down a free copy, they will also available at State Library of Queensland, in Brisbane City Council libraries, and at some bookstores (including Avid Reader and Riverbend Books).

Mark your calendars, and grab yourself a ticket package ahead of time! 5-Event Passes are now on sale, which gives you 5 main program sessions for the price of 4, so you can enjoy the very best of our 2024 offering. We can’t tell you what we’re planning just yet, but we can guarantee its one of our most vibrant, dynamic line-ups yet, chockers with local and international talent.
And don’t forget about our out-of-season events, featuring an incredible roster of visiting authors. Please note out-of-season events and special events are not covered by the 5-Event Pass.
