The 2024 Festival program will be live and on sale from 7pm, March 21.

In 2024, Brisbane Writers Festival is spinning a rollicking tale of festive entertainment across four days and more than 100 events. The plot? Full of twists and turns. The characters? A diverse cast of writers, readers and thinkers coming together to enjoy a lively line-up of panel discussions, salons, special events and more.

Don’t forget to mark the festival dates in your calendar: 30 May – 2 June 2024.

Want a copy of the Brisbane Writers Festival 2024 print program delivered straight to your door? Place your order before the 26th of April.

A mailed copy of the print program is $4 to cover postage costs. But don't worry, if you'd like to hunt down a free copy, they will also available at State Library of Queensland, in Brisbane City Council libraries, and at some bookstores (including Avid Reader and Riverbend Books).

We can’t tell you what we’re planning just yet, but we can guarantee its one of our most vibrant, dynamic line-ups yet, chockers with local and international talent.

And don’t forget about our out-of-season events, featuring an incredible roster of visiting authors. Please note out-of-season events and special events are not covered by the 5-Event Pass.

Brisbane Writers Festival is held on the lands of the Yuggera and Turrbul people, on the banks of the Maiwar river. We recognise the important and ongoing contributions of Indigenous Australians to art and literature, and pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.
